The match was to be played in Toulouse originally. A decision to move it to Strasbourg was made on April 11 (www.mbc.malopolska.pl/dlibra/doccontent?id=68962, page 12) at the request of the Polish FA which complained that high temperatures prevalent in June in southern France will favor the Brasilians.

I couldn’t find any article in the press linked to from ’Historical data sources’ sections of 1938 WC matches, that confirms last Leônidas goal being scored in 104’. Instead, at least five (Le Journal, La Stampa and polish press) say it was in 24’ (or 6 minutes before the end) of the extra time [i.e. 114’].
And I didn’t spot any that specifies 17:30 being the kick-off time. In fact, ’Ilustrowany Kuryer Codzienny’ says: ’few minutes before 17:00 team Brazil (in the blue shirts and navy blue pants) (...)’. It implies that there was no need to delay the match because of the same colour of shirts, ’cause they were changed already.
